Manga Coloring

Sometimes I get bored. Sometimes I color Manga. The above image is Mia Takatori from Isutoshi’s Aiki. I did this one because I thought the monochromatic image was too boring for my Scooter Girls MAL club. The most difficult part was that the original image had a texture for her skin that just didn’t look good any way I tried to color it, so I had to remove it all. The bike colors are a bit garish but I’m pleased overall with the outcome.

Below is another Scooter Girls pic I did, this time Haru Nonaka from Toume Kei’s Sing Yesterday For Me. A much simpler image. I really like how the jeans came out but I wish I had been a bit more imaginative with the background.

This is a little image from Chika Umeno’s Honey & Clover. I was re-watching the series and toyed with the idea of having a Hagu signature for the FTV boards. I decided not to do that but liked it enough to put it on my MAL profile.

The two below came about when I was at the OMFGG Scans site to download a chapter of Break Blade and saw that they are currently holding a contest, with no reward other than pride, for coloring pages from the Manga they scanlate. They suggested a page from Gamble Fish, so I took a crack at it with the first image being the result. After completing it I decided to read the Manga, which is pretty good, and noticed I got the girl’s hair color wrong. However I found another picture that I liked and decided to color her again to get it right.
